Griffin Stream (“the app”) is a remote desktop client that connects directly to a Windows server that you (“the user”) run and control on your own computer. This policy explains what data the app and Windows server handle.

Summary

Data stored on your device

The app stores the following locally so it can function. None of it is sent to the developer:

You can remove all of this data at any time by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app.

Data transmitted over the network

When you connect to your server, the app exchanges remote-desktop data directly with your server (video, audio, and your mouse/keyboard/gamepad input). This connection is:

The Android app does not contact developer-operated servers for analytics or advertising, and it uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Pro licenses and Dodo Payments

Optional Griffin Stream Pro is sold on this website. Payment checkout is handled by Dodo Payments (Merchant of Record). During checkout they process payment and contact details under their own privacy policy.

When you activate or periodically validate a Pro license, the Windows server on your PC contacts Dodo Payments license endpoints (for example live.dodopayments.com) with your license key and a short device/seat identifier. A license cache is stored locally under your Windows user profile (%APPDATA%\GriffinStream). The Android app does not send license keys to Dodo.

Website pages may link to Dodo’s hosted checkout. Support email you send to [email protected] is handled by the developer for product support.

Permissions

The app requests only the permissions required to operate:

The app does not request access to contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, or files.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
